Blogs

While becoming a blogger wasn’t a part of my plans when I left university, I’d already dabbled in the genre – firstly with a general WordPress blog and later with my student protests blog, ‘No Ifs, No Buts‘. Blogging was one of the focuses of the Publishing for the Internet module, which you can read more about in The Third Year.

When I started work at Sociabull, blogger relations became an important part of my job, and I soon moved on to blogging on behalf of our clients. I’ve worked with Luan de Burgh to edit and ghostwrite some of his blogs, and I’ve taken over the role of head blogger for Sociabull. This leaves me little time to blog for myself, but this entire website uses WordPress software and you could argue that each news story that I post is a form of blogging.

Here are some examples of my blog entries:

- Representing the Creative Arts: Student Placards

- Sarah Teather: If you’re going to crack a funny, it had better be a good one

- David Cameron: Bad news for Sheilas everywhere

- AutoTweetUp: It was a #blast

- 353 Is Not a Number

- This is a hold-up: National Stockings Day 2011
