Music
I was born in to music – my earliest memories are of snoozing backstage while my dad’s band churned out rock ‘n’ roll classics and sing-along crowd-pleasers. Ten years later, I was picking up the guitar myself, strumming Nirvana and Bowling for Soup songs. Shortly afterwards, it all came full circle – I earned my first pay cheque (£200) at the age of fifteen, playing rhythm guitar for The Big Boppers on New Year’s Eve.
Since then, I’ve been writing and recording, releasing my debut album Nocturne in late 2010. At 72 minutes long, the maximum length for a CD, it still wasn’t long enough, so I’m already at work on a follow-up.
Dane Cobain – In to the Jungle (Live at Glastonbury Festival)
I’ve performed at various venues across the UK, focusing on my home cities of Birmingham and London. I’ve played at The Good Ship, The Library Bar and The Shed, where I auditioned for Glastonbudget Festival. I also performed at Oxjam Tamworth in October of 2011.
As well as performing solo material, I’ve been known to collaborate with other artists, most notably from the Tamworth music scene. Artists include Arran B., Rombi and GiffordMusic from Bad Habits.
