FAQs
If your question isn’t answered here, please feel free to drop me an e-mail and I’ll do my best to get back to you.
When’s your next performance?
You can find details of all of my upcoming shows in the music section under ‘live‘. It’s worth following me on Facebook and/or Twitter for the latest news because if I’m booked at short notice, I don’t always have time to update the website with the gig information.
Where are you based?
I’m based in High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire, but I come from Tawmworth (near Birmingham) and studied at Roehampton University in London, so I frequently appear in the Midlands and central London. I’m also willing to travel for performances, depending upon where they are – who doesn’t like an adventure?
Do you have any merchandise?
You can buy copies of my books through my online store, as well as my debut album, Nocturne. More merchandise, such as bookmarks, plectrums and t-shirts, will be released in the future if demand is high enough.
How can I book you for my event?
You can either tweet at me or send an e-mail to bookings@danecobain.com. Please include some information about your event, including the location, date, stage time and links to any other acts that are set to perform. In return for your booking, I’ll post a gig announcement on the website, add the information to the ‘live‘ page and post a write up and setlist after I’ve performed.
Where can I read more about you?
You can read more about me in the ‘about‘ section on the website or stalk me on Twitter to see a mixture of my private and professional life.
What do you do for a living?
I work for Sociabull as a Social Media Executive. Basically, I manage Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and LinkedIn for the clients of a PR company. I also write press releases, e-shots, tweets and status updates, monitor and reply to fans and followers and run competitions.
Who made your website?
I did – see the ‘web design‘ section for more information. If you’re wondering who hosts it, visit Hostony.com.
Which of your books do you recommend the most?
I get asked this a lot, probably because there are so many. It depends what kind of thing you’re after – The First, Second and Third Year trilogy are interesting if you want to learn more about my development as a writer. Come On Up to the House is the most recent and Angels is pretty good too, but not ideal for bedtime reading unless you like having nightmares.
How can I keep up with your latest news?
There are a few options here – sign up to the mailing list on the right hand side of the website, subscribe to my RSS feed or follow me on Facebook and Twitter.
