Facebook fans and Twitter followers may have already noticed that I’ve shared a new poem – ‘Fit‘, for Laura McIntosh.
Fit
“This is for
you –
my moon, my shrine,
temple of holy holy holy
ingratitude
to all the times,
you saved me.”
Laura ocassionally makes me a packed lunch to take to work and writes me a note to go with it, so this poem was my way of returning the favour. I don’t often write romantic poetry – this is what happens when I do.
You can read ‘Fit’ in full here.
In other news…
I’m still waiting to take delivery of Come On Up to the House, but physical copies of the screenplay should hopefully arrive sometime next week. In the meantime, you can still pre-order here.
Free on Wednesday 25th January? I’ve got a gig at The Cavendish Arms in Stockwell – a fifteen minute spot at their ‘Unplugged in the Front Pub’ night. If you’re interested, you can read more details here.
That’s it for now – hope you’re all having a fantastic start to the New Year.
